Day three Arctic Weather alert

Now it's so cold at my desk, that my pen is frozen. I work in our family room, which is in the basement. I don't usually keep the heat on at night down here because it usually only takes minutes to warm the room when I turn the gas stove on. Well, not today! I'm thinking about putting on gloves just to update the website. Brrr.
I did head out today to do a little shopping. Three days in a row without scoring a deal was making me cranky! I got Electasol gel packs (20ct) for $3.75 at Walmart. Then used my $2.50 off coupons to get a year supply-20 boxes for $25. Not bad, I won't feel as bad about doing the dishes knowing I'm cleaning them for less. Picked up some of the Multi-grain Cheerios that were on sale at Hyvee for $1 per box. I had signed up for the coupon booklet last month that General Mills issued. IT had $1 off each box coupons. My darlings are eating about 4 boxes of cereal a week, so I'm trying to really build my stockpile of cereal deals.
Finally, I went for the trifecta of coupons, and wandered over to County Market to get some Quaker and Aunt Jemima boxes. Jimmy really likes flipping pancakes like Spongebob flips hamburgers. So Mike and Jimmy now make pancakes EVERY Saturday and Sunday without fail. I picked up 6 boxes to get them through the next six months.
Total out of pocket: $55, Coupons redeemed $64. It's been a cold but productive day.
